| my picture! Its an F350 2000 7.3 he has the Hypermax settings chip in it, he just put a sequential turbo on it, six inch lift, six inch exhaust, he has new tires on it now (not in pic) its huge haha, I used to love sitting in that thing, sure beats my truck, I know he has a perfomance clutch in it, and some other things that I cant think of so its totally capapble of pulling the 300, that is if he doesnt kill it or mess up off the line ![]()

| Has he pulled before? It is a pretty tough thing to do with a stick shift. Especially when the opponent has an automatic, and can use the brakes and gas at the same time. All the other guy has to do is power brake it some to keep the turbo spooled up, and either wait for the other guy to burn up the cutch, or break traction, and it is all over. Once one spins the tires, it is a done deal. Typically the winner is one with a ton of weight, and all 4 tires getting power. An open differential is not going to cut the mustard, even with twin turbo's and a ton of boost. Might even be the reason it will end quickly. The other factor is the D50 that is in the front of the Ex's truck. The D50 is very small, and under a pulling situation is very likely to snap. I am not trying to rain on your parade Ashley, but I am not too sure that he should have very high expectations. If this is his first pull, there is a never ending learning curve, and until he develops a certain technique, I don't think he will be a contender right out of the box. Beginners luck could play a roll in this whole thing, and he might walk away finishing in the money, who knows, but I would not bet the farm on it. Sorry to hear about your Ex situation, that is never a fun time, but you still have all of us, we still have love for ya......... |
