Talking Truck Pulls

My Ex is pulling his truck today at 2 pm Still mad at him but I wouldnt miss this. they are going to videotape it, if he gets it online ill post the link otherwise Ill take pictures. The only truck that I think has a chance against him is a Dodge 3500 cummins he won it last year, but I am really hoping his 350 can take him other wise it could get embarassing

my picture! Its an F350 2000 7.3 he has the Hypermax settings chip in it, he just put a sequential turbo on it, six inch lift, six inch exhaust, he has new tires on it now (not in pic) its huge haha, I used to love sitting in that thing, sure beats my truck, I know he has a perfomance clutch in it, and some other things that I cant think of so its totally capapble of pulling the 300, that is if he doesnt kill it or mess up off the line I want him to win yet I want to see him not but thats his fault haha (dont worry I wont do what carrie underwood did that was a dodge anyways this is way to nice to ruin

Has he pulled before? It is a pretty tough thing to do with a stick shift. Especially when the opponent has an automatic, and can use the brakes and gas at the same time. All the other guy has to do is power brake it some to keep the turbo spooled up, and either wait for the other guy to burn up the cutch, or break traction, and it is all over. Once one spins the tires, it is a done deal. Typically the winner is one with a ton of weight, and all 4 tires getting power. An open differential is not going to cut the mustard, even with twin turbo's and a ton of boost. Might even be the reason it will end quickly.
The other factor is the D50 that is in the front of the Ex's truck. The D50 is very small, and under a pulling situation is very likely to snap.
I am not trying to rain on your parade Ashley, but I am not too sure that he should have very high expectations. If this is his first pull, there is a never ending learning curve, and until he develops a certain technique, I don't think he will be a contender right out of the box.
Beginners luck could play a roll in this whole thing, and he might walk away finishing in the money, who knows, but I would not bet the farm on it.
Sorry to hear about your Ex situation, that is never a fun time, but you still have all of us, we still have love for ya.........

his second pull he got 298 boys im proud of him. And yuh it was his first pull. He says he wont use the truck he has anymore, but the first pull he tried it in 4 low in third gear, wouldnt work so he had to drop to second and he got it, kinda embarassing but hey live and learn, he got a 250 something first round and 298 the second time sooo close, but nothing broke so to me that is a sucessfull day at the track
