Question Engine Dies for no reason?

2005 Ford F250 diesel died unexpectedly. Electical is working but will not crank. Had towed to Ford dealership and they found a bad EGR valve? Replaced it and was supposed to be fixed. Drove truck about 80 miles (hot day in arizona) and it died again. Had towed to another Ford dealership and they haven't been able to get to it yet. Any suggestions?

have you tried the fuel filters and pump. could be a clogged filter or burnt out pump

what size engine?

common culprit can be either the cam or crank position sensor. not sure exactly which one. wait for mrjohnwayned, he's kind of our ford diesel guru

He's got a 6.0 Camino.

This thread is also kinda old. Never saw it before. I'm not a big 6.0 guy but I'm thinking either EGR, EGR Cooler or turbo. The VGT turbos on the 6.0s are very prone to getting dirty and not functioning right.
