How To section

Just a suggestion for those admins...might wanta think bout a "How To's" section. One of the previous car forums i was in...each type had a sub catagory with a "how to's" and it was full of stuff from ppl.
I know there some how too that might be general for all makes but i for one would love to see a few "how to's" for chevy/gmc on a number of items.

Any such section here would probably need a legal disclaimer, since this site is owned and operated by a corporation. They'd need to limit their liability.

I think even that would require some rewording to protect the company from liability.

While it would work, as written, for general posts and messages, having a "How-To" section changes things by lending to the posts the implied endorsement and approval of the company that runs the site. Posts put in that area could be seen as having a "special" status, above and beyond a "regular" post.

While I doubt anyone could successfully sue over bad advice in such a section, I know for a fact that there are folks out there who would try it anyway, and a nice legal disclaimer could prevent the site owners from being tied up in court for several years because some moron didn't understand something in a How-To post and blew up his engine, then sued.
