| this is from the dog side of our forum, being a larger forum they go into more detail, although i can not guarantee the systems are exactly the same. How do I find out my Reputation score?Simply open the User Control Panel (UserCP). Your overall Reputation score will appear in the upper right hand corner. You will also be able to see the last five Reputation scores you've received, listed along with the posts that were scored and any comments that were included (if any). A green dot indicates a positive Reputation score. And a red dot indicates a negative Reputation score. A grey dot indicates that a user tried to give you a Reputation score, but it did not count (i.e. because the user was new or had a negative Reputation). You can also check the Reputation score of specific posts you've made by clicking the post's Reputation icon. The system will tell you how the post has been rated by other members (along with your overall Reputation score). How many Reputation points can I give? When you first become a member, and after you've made 15 "dog related" posts, your Reputation actions are worth one point. However, your Reputation power increases over time. Bonuses: For every 120 days you're a member, you get an additional point of power (so each click is then worth two points, for example). For every 250 posts you make, you get an additional point of power. For every 300 Reputation points you receive from other members, you get an additional point of power. Rep given in the dog sections is multiplied by 3. A complex math equation is then applied that modifies the final rep power. So if you're an active and longtime member, you'll find the Reputation ranks you give to posts can carry quite a bit of weight. Limits: As mentioned above, you need to have made at least 15 posts in the dog sections of the forum before your Reputation actions have any effect. Also, you can assign Reputation points to only 10 posts per day (so save them for truly the best or worst posts). You also have to assign Reputation points to at least 7 different members before you can assign them to a member a second time (so spread the wealth!). Finally, if your Reputation score falls below 10 points — the number you get when you first join — you lose the ability to participate in the Reputation system. How many reputation points do the dots represent? The first 5 pips value = 50, followed by 5 pips worth 100, followed by gold pips worth 500 (max 10). i.e. 1 - 50 = 1 Dark green 51 - 100 = 2 Dark green 201 - 250 = 5 Dark green 251 - 350 = 5 Dark green, 1 Light green 351 - 450 = 5 Dark green, 2 Light green 251 - 750 = 5 Dark green, 5 Light green 751 - 1250 = 5 Dark green, 5 Light green, 1 Gold 1251 - 1750 = 5 Dark green, 5 Light green, 2 Gold ... 5251 - onwards = 5 Dark green, 5 Light green, 10 Gold Negative reputations are similarly displayed, except they are dark and light red. If your reputation is zero then the neutral grey pip is displayed Negative reputations are similarly displayed, except they are dark and light red. If your reputation is zero then the neutral grey pip is displayed

| I can guarantee the points to squares is not the same as used here. I know how many points I have, plus my squares are not even on the list LOL. I don't think it matters how many "good" points you have, it's more important is how many good points you can make. If you can help someone when they need it, rock on. Don't trust anything I say because of pretty boxes, see if it makes sense and if it matches up with other comments and what you see on your truck. And for heaven's sake, never ask ME about carbs unless you're on a diet. |

| If that was the case, then technically I would have more little green dots then you... LOL. I think it is based on 100 rep point intervals. At least I think so, cannot prove it till I get more rep points. When I break a hundred and do or do not get an additonal green dot, then I will know...LOL. Unless someone with two or three of them ratio it out with thier points and see if I am right.
