| I'm looking to buy a set of tires for my truck but at the cost can't really afford to get a set that are going to last a short period of time. I need a set of MT's for the work that i do but at the same time need them to last on the highway. I know that MT's wont last forever on pavement but i need them to last awhile. Then i have the problem of weight, i have a truck with a GVWR of 8800lbs and i tow a 32' goose neck full of wood from time to time plus the occasional car trailer with my toys. Just wondering what everyone else is running and how much life you are getting out of them? I am open to suggestions! |

| Pro comp makes some good tires that get some pretty good mileage out of them. I run bf goodrich rugged trail t/a'a on my rig. They are not the best off road tire by any means but they have gotten me out of a pickle a time or too and the last set had well over 70K on them!

| i would go with bfg a/t's they are a great all around tire that you will like they ate a 40k tire but keep them rotated and you can get a easy 80k out of them

| I really need more aggressive tires than AT's, I do to many chores in the fields when it is wet. I was going to get a set of ProComp Extreme AT's but the load ratings for the tire are ridiclously to light. Thanks for the suggestions! |

| The super swamper radial tsl has an unusually high street use rating for a tire considered primarily for mud: Super Swamper SSR Series Radial / TSL Reviews They are available in 16 sizes and 4 of them are E rated (good for towing) at 3640lbs load. (note there is also a super swamper tsl which a very different tire from the radial tsl). |

| I got a great deal on tires at the local wheel/tire store. You may not believe it, but guys order their new truck then go over to the tire/wheel store and order a $2/3K set of tires/wheels for the new truck. The new tires/wheels that came on the truck are traded in. If a set of new tires has just been take off you can get a great deal on the tires with few miles on them. I got a new set of 10 ply bridgestones off a new 08 GMC for $350, about half of full price with warrenty. worth asking about!!!! |

| General All Terrain. Got them from Tire Rack. Very deep 17/32 tread depth. So far tread wear has been very slow although I am running them on a light Mazda 4x4 truck. |
