Oil analysis - where are you getting it ?

My old source for getting my oil checked out has gone away, so I'm looking for what you all use.
Are you using Blackstone (Fort Wayne, Indiana), OAI (Salt Lake City, Houston or Indy),
local mil base, the forensic lab in Vallejo, CA or who?
What's your min cost ?

I've used blackstone. they give you a free "kit" etc.. and you pay 20 bucks (last time I checked)

That's where I'm leaning right now, they keep the process simple.
Some of the others, not just the ones I mentioned, want over $50.
This isn't rocket science.
Have heard that while the specs on report are accurate,
some of their suggestions get kinda out there.
Pays to remember where you used silicone in your travels.
Anyone else going to chime in ? I know JW isn't the only one that's done this...

I have never actually done it. Wouldn't know where to go, is there really an advantage? How often do you do it?

Unless you're really splitting hairs in a race or design envioronment,
there's no reason to be doing it more often than oil changes.
If you're seeing a bunch of gas or coolant in oil by yourself it's kinda unneeded too.
Kinda like a health screening, it's watchful, not waiting until you get your trk caught in a wringer.

Went ahead and called Blackstone for kit.
Amazing, got a person on phone in two rings and she took request immediately.
So that part of their cust serv is good...
