i just got a new to me 2005 GMC Z71 Ext cab i HAD a dodge ram 1500 that i had dual 40 series flow masters....I'm not sure if i want something that aggressive sounding...any body have any opinions?? thanks in advance....

There are many options. Why do you want a different exhaust?

Since you liked the sound of the flowmaster, perhaps you should consider that again, only in a single configuration instead of the duals.
Should provide the sound you are looking for wothout the excessive decibels
