dont trust the tow truck people (56K beware) all this talk about body work and such brought up a memory. i dont know if i told you guys but mid last year, a tow truck ran a stop light and hit a car. unfortunately, it pushed her car into my wifes car. it was a rollback with an s10 on the bed. when i went out there to make sure they were ok, they complained that the brakes had failed on the truck. why they didnt aim for something else, i dont know. better the car than someone i guess. when the towing company man came out there, he expalined to me that the brake booster had blown up and hosed down the floorboard with brake fluid. say what?? gotcha big boy. her car ended up getting fixed back to a decent condition and ended up trading it off soon afterwards for her hyundai. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

i'm so proud of you bud! ![]() so how hard did you laugh when he told you the story about the brakes? ![]() speaking of tow trucks, my vehicles will never go on a hook after what they did to my dads truck. bent the heck out of his bumper trying to back it in to our driveway. nothing but a flatbed for me now.

| i have an uncle that has his own towing business..he has a rollback and boom he treats his customers cars they way he treats his...with care..not all towing people are bad but most dont really care my uncles restores impalas from the 60's chevelles and an occasional nova and treats his cars with respect he treats all his customers the same way plus their cars...he doesnt have to advertise in the paper for business...its spread by word of mouth and he gets plenty of business from several counties because of his respect state police have even told him that he has the cleanest, best kept towing equipment they have ever seen..he has also made some runs out of state to get vehicles they are the only ones i trust around here because i have dealt with some of the other ones and even with AAA i will wait on my aunt and uncle before taking one of those other careless idiots that are around

i about fell out when he told me that. but at that point, it really didnt matter. she got a sante fe. when we first got it, we had it in the shop 2 times within the first 2 weeks. the delivery people winched it down so ******* tight that they ended up bending the struts on the front. well, it wasnt how tight, it was the fact of where the attached the chain. waited over a month to get it back since new parts are only available from the factory and being nitrogen shocks, they could not be flown.

hers came with the look-a-like wood on the inside. and there aint no way she would go for a pushbar. she likes it just the way it is and i like it because i dont have to work on it. thats one of the main reasons i bought her a new car.

I don't trust the tow guys either! When I slide of the road in my old ford the lovely state police officer called the worst possible tow company in town and they single line winched me out but from the worst possible angle and he bent the frame of my truck and tweaked the steering components by pulling me back over the sign that I ran over and it happened to be a 4x6 post and it got caught on the sway bar and just pulled the truck right over it! I told him about and he said well hope it don't break anything! Oh I was pissed and I still had to pay $65 to him and $130 ticket!!!
