| What is the best way to LOWER? I am hoping slammer will help me out some here. I have been side lined for a few weeks and in the mean time I traded my 54 Customline for a 68 F 100 and a 95 S-10. The F-100 (Wilma) is a 1968 with a 1965 block which is a 352 CI, that was hand built by a buddy of mine before he died. The truck sits a tad high and the wife and I wanna lower her 3 to 4 inches. I have NEVER lowered a vehicle in my life. So I need some ideas. From bolt ons to things I can do at home. I have seen some guys cut front coil springs and some put the spring under the axle and not over in the rear. I have never tried any of that myself. So I am in dire need of a how too course and some ideas. I have also thought of letting it sit lower in the front than the rear by an inch or two. | IMO the only way to do it for that kind of drop is new spindels and springs up front and some drop shackles for the rear. check out www.belltech.com they have been in the game for years.

| I wondered about dropped spindles. Is there a ton of modifications that need to be done in the steering or anything? Hammer |

| nope. They should be a direct bolt in. Only thing you will have to do is have it aligned after installing everything.

| yeah drop spindles are the way to go. get 2 inche drop spindles and a 2 inch drop coil for the front with some toxic shocks and then for the rear get a flip kit and shackle kit and you should be sitting pretty. i am glad someone else on here wants to lower there truck i was starting to feel left out... lol. if you pick up an issue of sport truck magizine or go on there website there are a ton of companys to choose from. i prefere air ride over everthig becasue it is still really streetable. i can make my truck ride close to stock hight and still slam it to the ground in a parking lot or as im driving and drag the rear bumper.. that is when its done though |
