| alright i'm trying to find some cb whips for my chevy. but i want something super long. i've seen pics of people with the wip that go from the back of the box and are bent over to the rear of the cab. anyone have any idea what i'm talking about and where i could find something like that. |

| i have a 8ft whip on mine i got it from radio shack you can get them off of alot of different websites... |

| Make sure you've got it on tight, though. I had mine on hand tight only, and some creep took off with it. |

| that would hurt like **** big country my uncle had his mounted on his rear bumper on driver side... he had his head out window and a limb caught it lol it got his ear... o and to make it worse it was extremely cold out![]() |

| were they stainless steel 102" whips? that's all i could find on radioshack... hmmm? |

| FYI, 102' whip is the proper length for 11 meter cb operation, when they are shorter they either have a base coil or are wire wrapped to maintain the proper SWR ratio. the lengt of connecting wire for the cofase will also affect the swr. if I remember correctly it was 16' of 52 ohm wire

| just remember when ya hook it up to put a plastic bushing on top and bottom of ya mount... if the antenna grounds out it wont work right |

| no they pretty flexible... everytime i go to bank mine hits ceiling of drive thru,, just put a spring on it |
