Need Help Choosing My First

Ok experts, I am in desperate need of advice for selecting my first truck. Yes, I said first, I just graduated college and I am a girl, so give me a break.

I originally had my heart set on an F-250 Powerstroke, but the new bluetec **** has ruined that for me. Unless anyone knows of any new technology to get around it??

The only half-ton body style I like these days is the Dodge. My bf has the Hemi and I am pretty impressed with the power it has, although, the truck in general is kind of cheap. Ssshhhhhh...don't tell him I said that!

Diesel-wise, I love them all, but again, I don't want to spend an additional 7,000 when I can't have it the way I want it (LOUD)!

Any suggestions on which truck I should look into? Again, it has to have power, be big, and be loud!!!

Thanks!

bluetec?

if you mean the dpf etc... that can easily be removed now, but if you do it will void the warranty no questions asked... (atleast on ford it will)

blutec i beleive is dodges new dpf deal but anyways if your okay buying a unit that isn`t brand new, i recommend an 07 or older duramax, easiest to make serious HP, and anything can be made loud!

I have had good luck with GM trucks my brother that has a Duramax went to see some Ford trucks he said that there quieter but in 2010 model GM is going to change body styles might wait for them like he is. I had also seen on You-tube that the insulation that ford uses is different that GM's that's why the cab is quieter.

Thanks! I have been leaning towards something that is a couple of years old and I've been told the 7.3 is the way to go by several people. I really like the body style on the 05 and 06 Duramax, but they're a little too low for me. I know a lift would be a fairly easy fix on those. If they're easy for me to get into, I don't like them! And I'm only 5'3"!

Decisions, decisions...I guess i'll just have to see what I come across.

Thanks a lot for the suggestions.
