i use clamps too in spots i cant get to. most of the time, i use clothes hangers and a brazing tip. you must have one of those 110 wire welders.

In the good old days it would get an old soup can and 2 clamps

and last at least a year
although now adays you can get flat band clamps!

tried that before on the van and blazer, they don't make those soup cans like they used to.

i love band clamps. i try to stick with them as often as possible.
