You're prolly talking about the thread I started a few weeks ago when I noticed how the salt was eating through my rear wheel arches. I think stump or someone clued me in to that Rust-Mort.

I don't know if I need to worry about that for the plow blade though. But I am going to buy it for the truck, so maybe I'll touch the plow up too if there's plenty left over. The metal is so thick on the plow blade though and the rust is only surface rust, nothing a sandblaster and maybe a little elbow grease can't easily take care of.

plow

i pressure washed mine off to get the salt and grease off ,blow it off with air to blow the chips off .use a die grinder with a cup brush sand paper cartridge roll to get the loose rust down to the steel .i used a product called rust mort from sem product's ,it's a rust converter .primed it with brush on red oxide rustoleum primer and then paint .it went on heaver than spray paint and was cheaper .it flowed into the crevices better . SEM Products - Catalog http://www.fluid-film.com/applicatio...lications.html when you get done you can coat it with fluid film
