Does HD carry that brand Mud??? You be getting a discount I assume??? That is the kind of box I could buy if its the ones I am thinking about. Its been awhile since I shopped for a box. It still have the roller bearing slides and wider heavier than normal slides doesn't it?

| home depot and discount in the same sentance? don't make me laugh. you know what we got for a christmas bonus last year? a cheap plastic pen that broke the same week. ![]() i'll be getting the box from harbor freight. it's going on sale next week for $339. alot better than a 3-4 thousand dollar snap-on or matco that i can't afford.

I've been seeing this alot in this thread and I understand most people can't afford the nicer boxes. Sense I use my box everyday and it pays my bills I got the nicer one plus I know if I ever wanna sell it or trade it in on something bigger that nice snap-on box if taken well care of will hold its value. I guess thats the difference btw snap-on and macto boxes compared to craftsmen and whatever else is out there...

Yeah, I have to agree with you. I don't tell to many people, but I have to say, I do have some Harbor Freight stuff. Some of it is good, and actually probably more good for me than acutally good. Just some stuff I am not going to work it as hard as some will, and I can't see spending the big bucks to have the best, when I will use it one time and then it sits. Example, I bought the water tile cutter saw on sale for $59. I tiled my kitchen, entry way, dining room, both bathrooms, the front of my fireplace and by the back door using that saw. It worked great. I cleaned it up, put it back in the box like brand new again. The other saws I looked at were like $300 and did not have the features this on sale $59 tile saw had. Couldn't beat it. Now if I were a tile guy and my income depends on it, then differant story, but I got my $59 use out of this saw, and I still have it to use should I decide to tile a rent house or help out a buddy with a tile project. I also have one of those angle grinders you wore out. Works great for what I have used it for, but I guess I know now, I can't do a large cut up a vehicle project with it. I may look at one of those next time I go in there. I am usually at Harbor Freight at least once a week.

Absolutely true Lifted. If its your bread and butter box, and not your hobby box, then by all means go with nothing short of the best. I agree totally.

Bummer Mud, its not available in Blue. Red Only !!! It looks good on the ad, but I noticed they don't mention the guage of the metal used to build it. Have you seen, touched or played with one yet? I sure would before I bought it if you can. I do not recall seeing those in the store. I will be looking next time. I need to get a bigger system or buy another Craftsman box to go along with my other 2. I don't need another whole box, maybe I can get by with the hand on the side cabinet for the craftsman.
