Yep, I know about the 3 sets of basic tools, wreches, sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers and pliers. I have a mobile set for the junyard and family roadside or house calls, then the one very basic set in my car, along with the 2 Craftsmans boxes full or just about everything. The extra sets do also come in handy when you do break a tool, in the middle of a project you can go to your mobile or car box and get by until you make the tool exchange. I noticed above I have Craftsman tools forged in China, it is actually Japan, not China.

Its a mountain brand. 72" long 48" tall 30" deep, couldnt pass it up! Paid $1600 for it new. Big enough to hold all my stuff, got rid of the other box and cart.

Nice box 64. Even that US General box that Mud got at Harbor Freight looks pretty dang nice. As long as they are decent built and ball bearing slides I thnk they are good and I would prefer to get off brand myself that was good quality for cheap, and spend the savings on good name brand warranted tools for inside the off brand box. And I really do like the blue boxes. That Yellow one Mud showed me like his was pretty cool and unique too. I would have that one at the right price just to be differant. I think that is why I like the blue so much. Everyone seems to have Red. Black would be nice too. I may watch sales on the Yellow at Harbor Freight. I think I want to upgrade and give my Craftsmans to my son. They do not have roller slides and the drawers that are loaded heavy like the 3/4 inch drive socket set and ratchet, don't open easy.

Hotrod, you should check out strictlytoolboxes.com The guy that owns it, Shannon, is very helpful with questions, etc. They have some awesome deals on boxes and i think they are carrying tools now too. Anyone wanting a new box should check them out.

I hear ya! When I'm done wrenching for a living, I'm gonna keep a small hobby set of tools and hopefully one of the boys will need em!
