Looking for information on later model Medium Duty trucks.

I am gathering information on Medium Duty trucks that comes with hydraulic breaks. Do any of you own one or have access to a Medium Duty truck with hydros? I do not care if it is a Ford, GM, International, Mack, or what ever. I want to know about the breaking system and if it has rotors or drums and the lug pattern. I am interested in hydraulic disks on all four corners and the component break down. Photographs would be a huge help as well. I also would like to know about a good online source I can get price and availability from. Oh, and feel free dumb it down for me.

What is your interest???
I have 5 Gmc 7500 series Gas 8.1 litre Trucks and 1 6500 series with 8.1 litre. Ask and i'll tell you a nightmare from day one on all these Trucks. Brakes are your least of worries on these models. No problems with them until about 15,000 miles you'll need pads and adjustment.

But you better buy fuel pumps, clutches, belts, brake sensors, brake actuator boxes. Don't forget the Trans.... You need new ones of them to. Also don't forget a few motors.... GM did not wanna tell anyone, had a bad batch of Rocker arms breaking. Want me to keep going???

Oh yeah!!! Can't forget, when you need a part. Your beat unless you have an inside connection like me. We own a 2 large Truck dealers. GM has had limited parts supplies on these units.

Also have a 6x6 International with 30,000 lb winch 40 inch all terrain tires , all these Trucks are 60 ft Altec lifts, with Forestry bodies. This is new also. Already had oil cooler replaced, fuel pump and harness, all new heater and actuator switches. Turbo went on the way back from Hurricane Ike last year in Texas..

You wanna no anything about medium duty just ask. I'm the Equipment Gerruu with Trucks... I love new tools and hate anything new in a Truck. I'll take a ole Mack or Diamond Rio any day.

Oh if your buying a body. Don't buy a SOUTHCO. Spend the extra and get one custom made or take a look at your local Tree or Landscape guys trucks. Wanna toss your money away, Buy a Southco.

Well its like this... If it's GM your buying breaks after the first year of driving. You'll replace pads , rotors and sensors galore. Remember the part#s you'll need them

Ford about 2 years, some adjustment or bleeding...

Don't get frustrated about my comments on GM... I'm sick of those Trucks. Got one now getting a clutch. 15000 miles

Had 2 clutches explode at about 8000 miles, poor quality and they only make a cheap small clutch for a 7500 series/ Imagine that.

Have 7 GMC Trucks and hate the sight of them. They could give me Internationals anyday.

Don't forget to add dust and sand dirt wear can help damage.

Isuzu......well maybe 3 years

Mack goodstuff.

International? I'll get back to you on the new ones. The older ones just pads or bleeding air lines. Maybe a dump valve once in a while. Gotta keep'em clean from water in lines...

So you don't think its a joke... We had a clutch explode in Oklahoma, the pices sheered the floor board and into the guys leg. Nice and crispy hot, just so it could feel just right.

Don't let me forget. GM put a batch of 700 tires on our fleet across the country. Weve replaced everyone of them. Goodyear G-124 series 10R/22.5 N 11R-22.5

Wanna see some pics , i can post them.. Best part was no warranty. No its in the courts hands.
