Alignment in Atlanta

I just had the burb aligned and I can see that the front right tire is toe'd out. It pulls so strongly to the right that I can drive on the left side of a crowned road and still have to correct with steering to the left. The shop told me there was play in the steering gear and there is some. But that should have zero affect on their ability to set toe-in.

I'm sick of corner cutting morons. Just about the only common repairs that I can't do myself are mounting and ballancing tires and alignments. I found a performance specialty shop for our cars but their alignment lift is too short for the burb.

I would like a recommendation of a shop that can actually do an alignment on a k2500 suburban. I can't believe it is so difficult. I did a better job just eyeballing it in my driveway than this shop did with an alignment lift.

Anyone here work at or know a shop very well in metro-Atlanta?

Tape measure, square, and level are looking very appealing to me right now. BTW I don't know enough to answer the question aobut the front axle being live/solid or IFS. Would the 8-lug hubs indicate solid?

solid front axle is just like the back axle. 2 short tubes with a pumkin. IFS has 2 CV joints and A arms.

10-4 it's solid then. I didn't want to say until I was sure. I've seen many ppl call solid rear ends IRS just because they have four links etc.

Shop mgr said he would credit my card back or give it a re-do once I rebuild my steering gear.

I'm about 3 hours away, otherwise i'd do it for ya.

GL with finding someone who will actually take the time to do one right these days.. Most places set the toe and letm go!

Make sure they set your SAI too.. whenever you get it done. I hate lazy/incompetent people.
