Liftng a 2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD

Looking at finally lifting my truck but need some guidance. What is the best lift to get? What height would you recommend, 4" or 6"? What size tires will fit my truck with a 4" or 6" lift? How complicated are the new body style to lift?

best lift.......dependant on how much you want to spend. i recommend a suspension lift rather than a body lift. try and stay away from kits that use blocks. they have been known to cause problems.
how high......totally up to you. i wouldnt have mine 12" higher than what it is now but some people would. being able to climb into my truck fairly easily is a big point with me. just remember that the taller you go, the more frequent you are probably going to be replacing parts as height diminishes the life span on your suspension.
tires........move over the the general truck forum and look at the first thread. tire and gear sizing. click the links and it will tell you all that you want to know.
new body styles...... never lifted one.

Brad is giving good advice and I agree, it's all dependent on what you want and what you are willing to spend.

The new trucks are no harder to lift that the previous body style.. H ell ,most of the parts are interchangable from the HD chassis.. I just put 09 hubs, rotors and pads in the front and springs (08 3500 Duelly) in the rear, as well as all 4 shocks on my 02. Perfect fit and even better than new feel
