i'm looking at a 95 z71 gmc truck. its the v8, 4wd, extededcab shortbox. its got 390,000, with work done on the tranny , rear end, and steering. the guy isn't sure if its the original engine or not, but it runs great. its goin for $4000 canadian, what do you guys think?? i have to let the guy know tonight, so any comments are apprieciated.

Have you drove it to make sure it runs "great"? Or is that just what he says?

-Check the oil (make sure it's ok and has not water or gas in it)
-Check the 4wd and make sure it works
-Check and see if the gears shift good
-Check the steering
-Check all fluids though.

That's a little much considering the mileage.. even after the currency conversion.

unless the motor has been replaced , or rebuilt , no way is it worth that much .

Agreed 390K is alot, even if it has had some parts changed. The truck, the electrical and all the other parts have been 390K miles.
