| I agree with the above suggestions. Pay someone who has the experience to do it. I had a golf ball ding one that was deep. It cost me $25 and I watched the guy do it in 20 minutes. It took longer to gain access than it did the fix the dent but you could not tell when he was done. You don't do it right, you might end up making it worse. A good thing to learn though. I think I'd practice on a car door for awhile before I started working on real stuff.

| most of these body people are real cool about their work. they do stuff on the side and usually make a good deal if you do it off the books. it puts more money in their poskets and less out of yours. i had someone pop out a whole car once from years of abuse for 200. |

| I agree w Brad, especially in today's economy. The massaging is the way to go though since it avoids needed paint. That is where the body work gets expensive. Also, I hear the dry ice method works real good, but then a few hours laters the dent goes right back where it was. Now that could be a metal massaging guy just trying to say its inferior to his work. Never know, Probably can't hurt to try if done right.

But a few dollars for the dry ice and the chance to see a neat experiment well if it don't take your not out much. JMHO

| Anybody know the price on dry ice these days? I'm tempted to try this on a hood dent on the g/f's Dakota. We're planning to get the truck repainted in a year, so it wouldn't hurt anything to use it as a test.

| If you have any fish canneries or packing houses you might find it there. Video says grocery stores never looked. Don't know price. Hey order some Omaha steaks and use the dry ice out of them. WIN WIN!!!! ![]()

| I've got an Airgas place a mile from me, but they only supply pellets and rice, no blocks.

Will it work 4 you? Don't know. If you can get it done for the $25 that was shown as a possible price go for it. If you can get the Dry ice try it first.

Haven't seen a slaughterhouse since I lived back home and there were 3. Don't know where else would have it.

| Thought I posted already, guess not. You can buy dry ice at Walmart SuperCenters. It in a small chest freezer over by the customer service desk where you do exchanges. Its like a buck something per pound and they will have diffeant size sealed bags. You buy it like you do meat. Its pre packaged with the weight on the bag and the price per pound. You have to be 18 to buy it, so they guard it like they do smokes.
