| There are a lot of threads and discussions bout which truck to buy and stating everyone's opinions. Get whatever truck you like best for yourself. Drive one of each that you're interested and pick whichever fits you best. Then worry bout lifting it. Just get a 4wd, please don't try to swap a 2wd to a 4wd

| don't let anyone fool you the only truck to buy is a chevy they are easy to work on and the parts are alot less expensive than the others. I put a lift on 98 dodge ram and it was a pain in the behind it took me two days to figure out all the changing and remounting stuff. never again will i do anything but a chevy the heart beat of america |

| i have to agree... i have a 92 chevy k1500 and it is very easy to work with and so that is what i'd recomend. my 2 cents is to go with a chevy full-size.

| If you are looking simply for lift purposes, then pre 88 chevy with a solid front axle is the cheapest to lift and abundance of parts. IFS chevy post 88 are alot more expensive to lift.

| I agree. I only spent 800 bucks for my lift. Came with new springs front and rear, extended brake lines, new steering arm, new shocks, and all mounting hardware. 6" lift btw. As soon as i get my rear carrier and gears i'll have that part of it done. Sad to say it has come a little way in a long time
