| I've never heard of "dishing" the plugs or whatever they called it. A guy I used to work with who has had several hot rods (Yes I have seen them run) has told me about indexing the plugs though. He swore by it. Personally never done it but once I get the motor in this 4x4 of mine I was gonna give it a try. If it doesnt help you are really not out anything except a few minutes.

| yeah, what i was thinking was that, like with split fire and other plugs, the spark only heads from the electrode to one point, so you dont have spark going to two at the same time. I was just wondering if this would be a pointless feat, but hey, worth a try i guess |

| My only concern is erosion thru the hole with all the spark and the little tip of the electrode breaking off into the cylinder after the erosion wears thru. What do ya think aboiut that thought? Any ideas?

| chevy, i have wondered about that alot. it would seem to me that the tip would be more prone to break off. trying it out in an engine that you would not mind messing up might be an option. they said that it has been tested so if it did indeed survive the test, maybe it be ok. |

| I have seen spark plugs after 100,000. Usually not alot of the electrode left. i might try one on the bench in the shop and see if it really makes a torch. i will get back to ya on this in a few weeks.
