i'm sure this is a dumb ?

but what is the difference in a brush guard and grill guard? and too make sure i'm right on this, a bull bar is the one that just cover the middle of the grill, and not the lights right?

As far as I know a bull bar is just the little bar that is mounted lower down below the bumper and curves up and back down. A grill guard is larger and covers the whole grill area. And the largest is a brush guard which is a grill guard with side pieces attached that cover the lights also.

I've always liked ranch hand. But I think they are just locally here in Texas.

ive noticed that those ranchhand grilles are getting a little on the high side. if you have the means, build yourself. got a couple of friends that have made their own and done an excellent job of putting them together.

it would be a lot easier just to go with something like a ranchhand but it is entirely up to you. as for if you want to make something yourself, only you know what you are wanting to do with it. a friend of mine used old trailer bolsters on his rig and ended up peeling his off but the guard never was hurt. then again, the front of the truck weighed a ton
