Community service workers across the street from the courthouse the otherday were digging a drain line up when they happened to uncover something of interest. they found an old motor and when i mean old, the motor had the crank handle with it. it was complete, more or less. oil pan, block, extra crankshaft crank, even the running boards to what it once was attached to. wanted to get some pictures but they took it off to the scrap yard before i had a chance to snap a few. really interesting to look at. really cool.

we had an awesome here not too long ago. my town is right on the chatahoochee river on the border of GA and AL, so it was a big mill town way back in the day. well, they were doin a lot of work in the downtown district a few months back, running new sewer pipes and stuff like that, well, they started finding all these huge underground rooms and stuff, that they never new were there. they were findin lots of em, i dont know what the final count was. they're assuming that at some point they had been basements or underground cellars for some of the buldings back when the town was booming
