| Crazy Gauges 2002 GMC Ext Cab 145,000 miles Instrument panel and gauges begin to fall to zero and bounce back to normal while traveling. There is no problem with the performanceof the truck while this is occcuring, only the gauges falling and the warning lights coming on and going off. Any ideas? Thanx |

| Welcome to the forum tdaly Which engine do you have ? Which gauges are effected ? Volts too ? Which warning lites are coming on ? Are they blinking or are you having several repeated events one after another that is gauge drop + lite on, then ok, then bad again ? Give us more to work with and we'll do better. |

| The engine is the small V-8 (327) I think. All of the gauges are effected. Speed, Tach, Oil Pres., etc. There are several lights that are coming on when this happens. If you give me an email address I can send a video clip from a cell phone that my son took while he was driving and this was happening. tdaly@venture-transport.com Thanx |

| That's pretty cool, we usually don't get vid, like the 6 oclock news Can you post it on photobucket and post a link here ? That way everyone can see it. Should be easy to do but if it becomes a problem let me know and I'll get it put up for you. |

| wow thats wierd. I wonder if there is a bad ground or maybe the plug is coming loose or getting a bad connection. I know there have been problems with the gauge cluster going bad but i don't know if that included all the lights flickering too.

| using JW's link ok http://s216.photobucket.com/albums/cc37/tdaly_bucket/ or really full size http://s216.photobucket.com/player.s...fs=1&os=1&ap=1 It seems like ign turns off then it tries to come back on with the bulb check. Check if turn signals work when gauges drop. Check if radio goes off at that time. Check if heater blower goes off at that time. This wil help isolate to key or computer problem. |

| I would really have to go with loose wire under the dash.. I alway suspect a ground since most of the wires will usually share the same ground.....but the fact you have it on video for us... that rocks!

| You have a weak ground somewhere. Time to go at it with a meter.
