Anyone Interested in Pics of My New Truck? here it is i just ripped out the original 262 and dropped this 358 chevy in. (not sure why it is a 358 thats just what im told) the casting number 3790010 says its a 350? the 750 holley on it is up for trade to someone who wants to give me a 650 holley. i traded a 89 geo tracker for it (the truck) and im in the process of redoing it.i completed most of the body work already. It has a 358 th400 trans, thorley headers, je flat top pistons and i just put a crane energizer cam (dur 282 lift .470) 12 bolt rear end with eaton posi and 4.56 gear, tax time it will be getting a weiand stealth intake a summit line lock, new suspension 3 inch body lift and 2 1/2 inch suspension lift, id like to lift it more but i cant find a lift. its getting 35 inch mickey thompson baja claws, new crane roller rocker arms, and a tan and black paint job. well any advice and feedback is very welcome! hope you enjoy the pics i will keep them coming oh the truck is a 1987 gmc sierra 1500 2wd shortbox id like some advice on engine mods too if possible. thanks!

not necessarily. ifs utilizes cv joints and a seperate differential. solid axle will give you more options on lift size along with a more forgiving suspension.

Solid axle swap does suggest a 4wd conversion. This is a simple 2wd truck right? Many companies offer lift spindles that will accomplish your desires to lift the vehicle. This is a very simple and cost effective way to lift your ride.

| I was talking about putting a soild beam type front axle in it. I've seen this done before, I really dont know much about it. It was a really trick looking front setup. I think it was on a older model S-10.

actually i think im gonna scrap the whole lift idea and go in the direction of street strip, what mods would you guys reccomend including tire size and type and susspension and gearing? i have the motor and tranny and rear end for drag racing so i might as well just turn it into a street strip truck.i dont want to lower it any though

brakes, brakes and brakes. anytime you want something alot hotter than what is stock, upgrade your braking system.
