| new holley hi im not sure if this is double posting as i have posted another question today. (if so im sorry) i just put a new 750 holley on today and i hooked up the vaccume advance on the distributor and the vaccume to the brakes but there is another vaccume port in front of the throttle body what does this go to? also to hook up the modulator vaccume on my th 400 do i hook that directly to the nipple coming off my manifold behind the carb? thanks in advance!

Trans modulator line goes direct to intake. Most of the time the dist advance is hooked to a port above the throttle plates. I have hooked them to intake but you could get some pinging doing that . I would have to guess that the port on the throttle plate is for the dist. advance. scavanger

The one on the front of the plate is for the PCV valve if it`s a 3/8 hose fitting.

if you have a 350 that has not been bored or nothing done to the heads, 750 is alot more than that engine requires. cant tell you exactly if that is your problem as i do not know what all you have.

650 should be good up to around 350 horse or so on a small block. Unless you go to a stroker with big heads it should be fine.
