Dr of BBQ is on a distinguished road
It's a truck forum I know BUT

An introduction: I'm in the BBQ business in Springfield Illinois, and I have a current location I work every day but I wanted a more mobile operation for events, and competition, so I bought a 1998 Chevy Step Van with a blown 454 motor. I'm most likely going to buy a long block install it and then start on the inside remodel. So I'm looking for floor plans, tips, do' s and don't s from someone that has been down this road before. I'm a long time sufferer of SS Stainless Steel disease, meaning if it's made of SS I have to own it. LOL Doubt my word take a look at my current trailer I work in every day at The Doctor of BBQ

I have been searching the internet for a forum on Step Vans. There just doesn't seem to be one, at least not one I can find. Dose anyone know of a Step Van Forum, or a web site that delves into Step Vans (history, uses, the good bad and ugly) in a big way?

Thanks for any help you may be in your response.

I have a BBQ pit that's from the WW-2 era it was used to sterilize medical tools and so on it has two pedals on the bottom that lifts and lowers the hydralic lid all we did is place a grill and cut out a hole to clean it out and regulate the air it takes very little coals or woods since it retains the heat so good and when cooking I don't even have to turn the meat over if I don't want to since the grill is high like BBQ chicken it comes out golden brown my brother gave it to me we converted it back in the 70's it has a lot of hours and it will probably be handed to my grandchildren when im gone try to beat that one for old just imagine if it could talk I would have a lot of war stories to talk about. Take care! GMCTRUCKS
