| Cruise control problem I have a 1998 Sierra 2500. For a while, the cruise control has been acting up and I’m wondering if anyone can shed some light on my problem. The cruise will work fine for about an hour. Then, it seems it will not accelerate to adjust to an increased incline in the roadway. (Up and down hills is a way of life here in West Virginia.) I can turn it off completely for about 20 minutes and it is good for maybe another 45 minutes to an hour. Has anyone else experienced this? What was the solution? I have put off taking it to a dealer since I figure they would have to take it out for an hour or more to have it start acting up before they could diagnose the problem. I appreciate any help.
