| If we choose one company at a time they will be forced to lower their prices. Maybe start with BP/Amaco and Chevron. Just boycotting all stations for one day will hurt them, but they will recover. If we stop buying from one or two all together they will suffer even more. I`m not sure what is the biggest fuel co. in in the US, but i know here where I live, GA, those are 2 of the biggest. |

| If you were to succeed in this, and kill off just one of the major distributors, you in turn increase the demand from the others, meaning more shipsments nescesary to keep up, and in the end, nothing changed. I have thought alot about what some people have aid here and it has put it in perspective. Really gas is not the issue, it sucks but that is life, it will balance out eventually. SO, killing just one gas station will not do it either. We need to lower the demand, if overnight we all began to get 50 miles to the gallon, then the demand will drop...LOL... b ut that won't happen. Besaides all of this, it is not the little distributors that are gouging the prices, so why would it be fair to take it out on them, and put innocent people out of work?

| Here locally in GA we have started to boycott Exxon, Its one of the biggest suppliers in the U.S. It`s the big dogs that are causing the little people to charge higher prices because they have to buy their fuel from the big companies. It cost too much to manufacture for a small time company. |

| On the news tonight was report of how some of the major truck stops here in PA have to close due to the cost of Diesel, and how peoples vacations are beinging cancelled due to then sudden jump in the cost of living. They also reported a record number of bank robberies in the last month, and i am sure that is connected. Then said due to warmer weather comming and increased driving, prices are expected to jump again this weekend. Cost of natural gas is also going up, heating oil, and lots of other things. So it is not just the cost of gasoline for our trucks, but everything it affects. It is almost out of control. Perhaps trying to hurt a big company will force them to sell less fuel, but then they will just raise the cost of ciggarettes and soda and stuff inside to make it up, then if and when business returns, those will not drop. So in the long run, it will not help. I also agree with an earlier comment that it is like a two step forward one step back plan.... scare us with huge prices for like a couple weeks, then back off to where they wanted it in the first place, which due to peoples desire for a deal, RUN to fill up when this happens and just leads to them making even more money. This is a vicious circle that has begun, and there does not seem to be an end in sight. Soon it will get out of hand, then it will be too late, and we will be facing another depression..... at least this is how i see it going anyways.....
