hub assembly replacement

My GMC dealer told me I needed new hub/wheel bearing assemblies on the front of my 99 GMC pickup and rather than pay an enormous amount of labor, I want to replace them myself. Can anyone tell me a step-by-step method for removing old and installing new hub/wheel bearing assemblies on a 99 GMC Sierra, 4WD, ext cab, new style pickup? Thanks in advance.

remove tire
remove caliper and pads
remove rotor
disconnect ABS wire
remove CV axle nut (31MM?)
remove the 3 bolts holding hub on the spindle (15mm or 13mm??)
tap hub with a hammer to break it free and install new hub.

make sure you tourqe the CV nut down to spec, i think it's around 180 ft/lbs

i'll do a step by step with pictures if you need them, i have a '97, but it should be the same.

i think it took me less than a half hour to replace my passenger side with an impact gun.

thanks for your help. i know i can do it, but i keep hearing that i should not let the caliper hang down by the tubing because it will have an effect on how well the brakes will work? if you have the pictures available, i know they would help. again, thanks.

get a coat hanger to hang the caliper from the shock or something.
