No start!!

Please help. I have a 1999 Gmc 4x4 crew cab with the 7.4l engine. I started having issues with starting. It would take several cranks to finally start. I changed the oil and the fuel filter thus week and then it only started when it was cold. If I start it and even drive just one block and turn it off, it will not restart. Now it doesnt seem to want to start at all. What should I do? I purchased some starter fluid and the first couple of times that seemed to work. The last time I tried it didnt work. It acted like it was going to start but didnt. Help please!!! This is my first post, so hello all and thank you for your help.

Steve

WELCOME TO THE FORUM (:
did this problem happen quickly or over time?, i`ve got a 98 7.4l and i`m on my third set of injectors, they would flood the truck when it is warm, but if you can`t get it started cold either or at all now, you may want to check for good spark and check you fuel pressure, should be between 55- 60 psi key on, letme know i`ve done lots with my 454 chased many bugs and like to learn any new ones too,... later

Have it checked with a good diagnostic tool and see what the sensors are reading
