Flowtech1ton is on a distinguished road
Need imediate help with wiring

Guys I have a 1988 GMC Sierra 3500 4x4 SL with stock windows and locks without power. I recently bought a set of new doors off a 1988 2500 SLE. They have power locks and windows however I do not have the wiring harness that connects from each door to under the dash to get power to the doors. I have had **** trying to get the harness and have had no luck. What I need is a diagram on how to wire these up so they work. PLease help

Invest in a $20 Haynes Manual, it will come in handy in more ways than you know. Wiring diagrams in the back. I believe I can get you a complete harness, my neighbor down the road has a Salvage yard and I know he has a harness. You will nees to plug it into the fuse box on a 12V power. I converted my first Chevy from man to power. You will have to remove the doors to drill the holes in the cab frame for the wires to pass thru. the doors already have them.

The wiring for power windows and locks is ridiculous. Lots of wires and probably more trouble than its worth. I looked into it form my Buick, and its way more complicated then you think, but it is possible. I'd go to a junk yard and pull a harness from a donor truck.

I changed my truck from manual to power Windows/Locks and I thought it was simple the hardest thing was Drilling the door jam holes and mounting the relay because you have to lay on the floor.

I just might have the harness you need. Let me do some diggin and see if I cant find it and take a picture. I'll lable what wires go where
