Its got the 350 in it Peterbilt... Ill put pics up later on tonight, One big problem, whenever the headlights are on I dont have a right turn signal that works on the front or the back of the truck, also when the headlights are on there is no brake lights that work.... I switched out the little board that holds the lights with the ones from the old Chevy because I just bought them not even two weeks ago, anyone have any ideas why they wouldn't work?

yuh it needs a tune up, and he towed a fishing boat with it, and I was noticing that when the headlights are off and you go to turn on the right turn signals the lights that light up the license plate on the back flash in sequence with the turn signals haha! so it must be wiring

I wish I would've read this before you bought the truck. All, I can say is this... I was in the same situation as you; I found a nice 96 chevy shortbed for an awesome price. It had 140,000 mi on it, and before I made my first payment on the loan... my transmission went out. This experience is actually what brought me to this site in the first place. This happens all the time apparently (surprised nobody else mentiooned it) and it usually happens right around 130-140,000 mi. Just beware, if it starts to shift weird or pop itself into nuetral... your prolly about to lose 3rd gear.

Congrats Ashley.
I am sure that you will have a much better time with your new ride. It should be quite a bit more dependable, and you should enjoy it. It is new enough to be a dependable machine, and yet it has enough age to still keep you on your toes.
The transmissions do not lack dependability, but they are a little expensive to replace or re-build.
Other than the little bugs, you have to deal with, it sounds like you have a nice ride there. You got a pretty good deal on it.

Ashley you will like that truck. when you start doing little things to it you will love it. start with they exhaust that would be the first thing i would do. if you was here i could get it done for you 300.00 true duels with H pipe and stainless with flowmasters 40 series.

Will an exhaust really do anything with this truck?? It has 4 O2 sensors. Are we talking catback or full on? Will "true" duals do anything as a power adder or just make it sound better?? I am asking because I do not like the factory exhaust on my truck. But I am thinking of sticking with a single out. Hey pickup girl..if you want new wheels check out craigslist, theya re always on there. Soemtimes you can get all 4 for $100 bucks or so. I bet that truck flies with it 2WD, not the extra weight of the 4WD system. Looks like a nice rig...clean and straight. Mine has 167k on it and not one problem mechanically. It will last forever if taken care of.
