4 speed super duty trans.

My v max package included "super duty" transmission, what is the difference between the normal duty and super duty?

Its a heavier duty 4L70E transmission. This is better than the 4L60E ans 4L65E units. You also have a larger transmission cooler and perhaps the optional towing package.

With your L76 (6.0) engine, and this transmission, you may find some hesitation, or slow throttle response, as well as difficulty backing up heavy trailers.
Get a new tune right away, and really see what that truck can do. You are limited by the "Torque management" tune, and this is a big limiting factor. Get a decent tune, and dont be afraid to spend a little money here, and you will wake a sleeping giant.
Nice drivetrain combo there, just needs a little nudge to wake it up.

No that is correct.
Many are not aware that there is a 4L60E, a 4L65E, and a 4L70E.
Hardened shafts, input and output sensors, 5 gear planetaries, herdened sun shells, yada, yada.
Small differences that make the smaller 60 based transmission stronger and more reliable without the hp losses of the 4L80E.
That 80 is a big bad transmission, but with a small engine in front, it simply requires too much power.
The SS trucks started using the 70, and now the Vmax trucks have them.
Again these are heavily governed transmissions, and can really wake up when programmed correctly. Good solid shifts, and getting rid of that torque management stuff is a real plus.

Any trans is better than a regular 4L60e trans just have it serviced if the fluid is brown looking.

Re-progamming 6.0

What type of progemming do I need, does the program re-program the trans and the engine, does it void my warranty? Can you name some program names??

Nelson Performance - Tuning

This is a reasonable tune. These Texas guys are alright. I custome tune stuff, but not for sale so to speak. These guys have a decent tune that is real close to one that I run.
Try a general search. These transmissions have been around for a little while, and there are plenty of tuners out there.
Now keep in mind that most custom tuners are much better than a general hand held device ever will be.
