| I have an odd thing happening in my truck. The FM radio reception works when I first turn on the truck and as it gets warm, approx. 5 minutes, it gets static on all stations. I found a crack in what I think is the grounding bracket under the hood, but upon fixing it the problem is still there. Any ideas or am I looking at replacing the radio? |

| I drove a work van one time with an intertesting radio issue like that. When it was cold, if you wanted to listen to station number 97.9 you needed to tune to 96.7. And every few minutes as it warmed up and got more staticy, I would tune one more up to like 96.9 then 97.1 and so on. It usually took almost a half of an hour before 97.9 was actually 97.9. I think it has to do with the internals of the radio itself. I figured I would share that story to support why I am going to agree with CF_79 here, save the headache bud and replace the unit. You will get many more features and much cleaner sound when it is all said and done anyways.

| Though most guys will point to higher end electronics, being a little tight on dough I suggest Wal*Mart. they carry a great selection of Sony, Pioneer and others and are relatively inexpensive. Plus they have wiring harnesses and dash kits too. I bet with deck and kits, you could get out of there with something decent for less then 150 bucks... Just a suggestion.
