Exclamation 89 sierra 1500 sl wiring problem

1989 gmc sierra 1500 sl. im installin a new cd player but theres like 6 wires in my truck like and like 16 wires on my cd player. Shouldnt there be seperate wires for each speaker? can some one please help?Thanks.

thanks

yeah thanks for the help but my truck does not have all those wires it just has like 6 of those...when i took out the stock radio those 6 or so were the only ones soldered to the radio.

Can you take a pic of the six wires you have access to and post it here so I can see? it does not make sense, there should be eight for speakers, and three for power and ground and signal minimum.... so i would need to see it.

those are the power control, ground and ignition signal wires......and just one set of speakers..... If I am thinking correctly... I will consult the chart 03 posted for us to use.... but you are missing some wires.... a lot of those stereos had TWO harness plugs that plugged into it, the second one controlling just speakers.... when you removed the factory unit, and assuming there was a second, did the second drop behind the dash out of sight?
