Cruise control help

I have a 99 Yukon and the cruise control hasen't worked for about a year. I want to try and fix it. I checked the fude and its good. The cable is free, what should I check? Any test to preform? Anyone have this problem and fixed it? Any help would be great. Thanks

is it a new body style 99? if so i`m not much help...

It is the last of the old body style.

UM well my GM manual has a 51 step process to determine the issue!

there is a fuse left of the instrument panel, should be fuse number 6, well start here...

now you know the problem will most likely be step 48.

no cause the next step requires the tech II,....
