i got it. i thought the injector controler?? came out with the intake. the good news, i don't have to spend 400 on new injectors.......yet. i think my regulator is leaking. the bad news, i'm gonna pull the lower intake to clean the inch of carbon out of it.
pics coming soon, desktop sloooooooooow.

while i have the intake tore down i figured i might as well replace the injectors after all. i was thinking about this conversion kit.

the techII does pick up a slight miss fire on the graph, but not enough to set a code, so i think this will solve the problem.

looks like i will be keeping this truck for awhile after all.

anyone know what size this is? i need to get a line wrench for it. 7/8 is too big and 13/16 is too small, so i'm guessing metric. 21mm maybe?
it's the coolant line on the drivers side front right behind the A/C compressor.

21mm is around 13/16, 22 is around 7/8 and, i`d try a 22mm

I pulled a intake off a carpet cleaning van once and the crum was all the way to the intake, it was shaped like the bottom of the intake, only holes were where the pushrods went through! Needless to say the engine was seized, apparentley they were changing the oil every 3k miles but it took a year to get that mileage and those things run at high idle for hours and hours!! BaaaaaaaDD!

P.S. 500th post! whoohoo!

goin' to the stealership in a minute to see if i can haggle a good price out of them for the injectors. the ones i found in the link will take over 10 days to get here, so i'll see if they can match the price of the web site.

went to the stealership and they at me when i asked if they could do a price match. so i in disappointment and went over to autozone to get the gasket kit and wrench for the stubborn coolant line. autozone was $30 cheaper for the same part number, compared to NAPA. anyways i gave it shot and asked if they had the injectors in their , they did. feeling lucky, i asked if they would price match, he said yes!!! they knocked off the $83.89 difference. to Autozone, i should have the injectors tomorrow or Monday.

edit: oh, the regulator. i didn't look into it since i kinda sorta broke a clip on one of injectors. i swear, i barely looked at it and snap.
