1500 goose neck towing question

will my 2005 1500 Z71 Ext. cab V8 pull enough weight on a goose neck trailer to make it worth gettin a hitch installed on my pickup...i think it will but i got a couple of friends that say its not worth the trouble....what do ya'll think...the trailer i own is a 22 foot flat bed tandem axle

heres a pic of it

guess it all depends on what you load on the trailer. my 1/2 ton has a gooseneck but have alot of extra suspension along with the bigger v8. i wouldnt pull a huge trailer but as long as it meets the load weights that the manufacturer suggests, i might do it. i dont see a problem with it.

Btw it's a GMC, and I don't think you'll have a problem with a gooseneck unless you have over 3 or 4k lb's ON the 3k trailer.

We just got an "old" f-250 for pullin' our tractor around... if you get an old 250 get one that's a year 95 or higher if you can.... anything lower might not have a powerstroke in it... still a good diesel, but not like the power stroke.
