1st. post....I have removed the wheel, and caliper the rotor would not budge. I took the axel nut off and using a wheel puller, I managed to push the splined axel thru the rotor. the rotor is still solidly intact, not budging. There are 4 bolts thru the back plate. Do they need to come out? If not, what is holding the rotor on?

As far as I know all you should have to do is hit it a couple times with a 3 lbs hammer. Hit it by the studs not on the braking surface! Good luck!

The studs stay on the axle shaft. The pressure of the rim holds the rotor on did you try any break away or anything? Are you replacing the rotors?

Yeah there ar eno bolts holding them on! And just a thought isn't it just as expensive to have them turned as it is to buy new ones? Do you have a air hammer you could try to air hammer it off! Or even use a propane torch just to heat it up alittle bit and then beat that thing!
