the phrase itself makes a little sense but kind of repetitive to people that know. a cat back exhaust is an aftermarket exhaust that includes everything from the cat back. hence the name. since you truck has a y pipe incorporated with the cats, you will have to change that as well. the term true duel to me implies that nowhere in the system do you have a mix of exhaust from one side of the engine to the other. do not believe that true duels is the best thing to have. this is not always the case. they have x pieces and y pipes. lots of different options and should be built to the owners wants as in what does he want out of his truck. 4 inch pipe sounds kind of ridiculous for a gas engine. maybe for a diesel. if you want the appearance, you can add a 4 inch tip to the mix.

just deep and loud?? catback flowmaster exhaust. might go with the 40 series. you can get them with a single in with either a single out or a dual out for dual exhaust. if i wanted a performance increase, i would put headers with either hi flow cats or none at all. dad thinks that the x pipe configuration is an excellent way to go but i would like to see numbers on that. i have also been a fan of turndowns but some people like the appearance of the tips out the back or to the side. all depends on taste.

I had my cat removed on my 95, replaced it with a free flow cat, a series 40 flow, and 2 inch pipe, dualed from muffler back, and it's not real loud, but lots of my buddies changed their pipes to be more like mine....... it cost $380 some odd.
