| I have a dynomax system and i love it... i recomend a single 3" ultraflow > check it out! here is mine, headers, no cats and 4" dynomax YouTube - 98 GMC K2500 L29 then before cats removed YouTube - 98 GMC K2500 I used to have a flowmaster dual in single out 3", it was a 50 series, it had rediculously horible interior resonance (flowmaster claims NONE!) gave me headaches, LOOOOOVE this new system.

| Welcome and howdy from TEXAS. First of all many of people think that going with true dual will help some even use 3" pipes don't do it your going to loose low end torque just get a free flowing muffler like stumpuller said Dynomax is a good muffler I have Magnaflow and I love it I have seen that more people prefer Magnaflow maybe get free flowing cats or a manuel or electronic dump that will wake up that engine. It's just what brand that you perfer stumpuller likes the way his sounds and I like the way mine sounds im not saying his is best or mine it's just that I read the poll that people perfer what I have but like I said it's all up to the person I too have had Dynamax the sound is GREAT. I don't want my buddy stumpuller to get up-set with me he's a cool cat. |

| cat back exhaust is what i think you are looking for. some of them are priced pretty bad but depending on what mileage you have on the truck, you might want to change the cats over to hi flow if you are in an emissions controlled county or possibly take them out all together if you dont have emissions testing. nice thing about cat back systems is that they are already bent and shaped to the user specification so you can install them yourself. custom exhaust is a little more difficult if you have no pipe bender unless you take it somewhere. |

| To me thats a good deal but again ask him if you true dual it your going to loose to much back pressure and it's going to affect your low end torque why don't you just have your muffler replaced with a Flowmaster, Dynamax, Magnaflow muffler one in two out most people do that my brother took his truck to the track and seen that with true dual he lost on seconds that's why im saying it's better just to go with a muffler or cat back system you know that if you just replace your muffler they can use your stock pipes going back but again it's what you want. I really don't like wasting money that's why I went with a high flow cat and high flow Magnaflow muffler why don't you use the search button and type in what you want to do and see what comes up. Also when I was once low on money I went with a glasspack muffler one in two out but I had my stock cat so when I went to replace my cat with a high flowing cat it was just to loud thats why I went with the Magnaflow muffler so that told me that the high flow cat made my exhaust flow much better. Good luck! GMC PS-Get some long tube headers that will make it sound good with the system I have plus it will wake that engine up big times. |
