 | Yeah it's sweet... at the parade of lights this particular truck got upto about 20 mph in a low gear and backed out of the throttle and the jake break rattled windows!!! It was awesome |

 | being the pic is so small it is hard to tell. it appears to be a late 90 model 379 with a flat top. headlights give it away. on the one at the house, we run 2 stage jakes. but those are getting to be a thing of the past being all the local towns have ordinances stating no engine brakes. |

| So in the local bargain finder today found a parts truck, same year and everything. only things gone are the t-case and a few body peices, asked the guy how much he wanted for the engine he said 1750, its not free, but only has 20k on a fresh rebuild, plus he said i can have everything under the hood minus the trans... its 2 hours away but i`m going to go tommorow and check it out... sound lika good deal? all the local auto wreckers want like 2k for only a used long block! rediculous! so i could get a heck of a lot of spare parts! PS pump, rad, intakes, ECM (Huge Bonus), and all the wiring! I just need a co-pilot to come with me on the drive and help check it over... |

| Yeah it'd be a **** of a trip for both of us but you could pick me up on your way through... better yet you drive here and we'll take the mitsi the rest of the way... if I go light footed on the gas I can squeeze about 38-40 mpg on the highway outta that little car!!! |

| Heck no I can't wait... I'm so stoked for that setup! And yes it's darn good mpg... It's got a 13 gallon tank and if I'm really nice to it I can go about 400-450 mi. on a tank! |

| well luckily i got a call about another engine, thats already out of the truck, for only 1k, and there is other stuff i can have aswell. much better, not to mention its maybe 20 mi from my house.... i didn`t end up going to check the other one anyways, cause no body wanted to come with and besides i thought about it alot and thats to much $$$ really for what i`m going to use it for... Found out today also that the cranks are cast so it`s going to end up in the metal bin or sold on the side... not strong enough for what i`m going to do... so i should be able to convince somebody from work or maybe my bro to come out and checkit with me... seing as its so close. Really like the idea i don`t have to pull it.....  |

| well wan`st real happy but crunched some #s and i`m still going forward but with my current engine, when i get back home, I will probly order the pump and injectors, then just wait for a day to do the install, should take a weekend i figure, maybe a long weekend....(: but it will be sooo worth it! |
