| Do the hoses going to the heater cool off at idle? how is the coolant level?

| I will have to feel them and get back to you... the coolant looks to be just right.... if they did cool off, what could the problem be?

| Could be poor coolant flow, when was the t-stat changed last and how old is the water pump, could also just need the heater core flushed. |

| I would replace the t-stat and do a complete flush 1st. The water pump would be the last option. What is your temp gauge reding? |

| If the heater hoses are cool and radiator hot its a core problem. if all is cool then, go with kennys idea of changing the thermostat. By the way why do you need heat in sunny california?
