| Odd ABS Light, service brake system message I'm having a hard time figuring out why the ABS light comes on and all day yesterday the red brake light was on too but today it's fine, then it's ABS again. I have a GM buddy bringing home a hypertech 2 scanner to check the codes. I'm thinking it's a wheel sensor or something simple because everything "seems" to be ok elsewise. Any ideas? Yes I checked the fluid, Yes I've maintained the pads/rotors. ![]() |

| I think you are doing right with the scan tool, it sounds like a sensor and the tool should tell you which one

| ![]() That guy never showed....anyone have a scanner that can tell me what the f*** is wrong with my brakes? I'll gladly buy some beers for the assistance. I'm in Southfield, MI...I know the programmers are like $500 or so, but I couldn't afford that now if I wanted it. Please...I think its just a sensor but I'm sick of it playing jinglebells every time I get in and drive it. |

| i'd help you out but that's quite a drive form Flint, especially in this weather. wild guess would be fluid level sensor on your MC.

The level is good, the fluid is new, but where is the sensor location? Is this something I can take out and clean or what? I thought about just cleaning all four wheel sensors as well. Where is the center point between you and I? Ortonville? Great lakes crossing? | |

| heard of those places, but never been that way. i'll see what i can find on the map. the only reason i say the MC fluid level sensor is because you mentioned the red brake light. the sensor should be on the side of your reservoir. when that light comes on it means something is wrong with your primary system. it could be your combo valve sensor too. if your MC has an internal leak, then you will have a pressure difference in the system and it will trip your light. if you want to meet up, it will have to be on a monday or wednesday, as those are my normal days off. next week would be best, after that i'm back to school with no days off for over a month and i have to find time to pull an '86 chevy out of the snow in clio.
