the ac/heater controls is one big box. certainly one could break into one and change out a bulb. wouldnt make sense to make in nonservicable in that fashion. not for a broken bulb. i have never been in one.

my stereo is mounted where the equalizer was originally at.
that tray thing/cubby hole was slid in to where the factory stereo used to be.
i am assuming that the function is to hold cd's and such but nothing stays put in that spot so i dont use it...am going to put something on the bottom though to hold my mp3 player

that is wrong. you lose 10 cool points for that.

sometimes my lights and stereo would not come on in mine. i figured out that there is a spot on the dash that you could hit that would make everything work again. have you tried pulling the unit and seeing if you can break into it to change a bulb??

Heater control back lights 1994 sierra
Where in the heck does one get those tiny PR70 lights that twist into the heater control PC board? I have checked all around my area (NAPA Kragen GM Dealer and the Chevy dealer. No luck

this was posted a few weeks ago by redlineps, he must have figured how to get it apart. Maybe a pm to him will get you a solution

PR 70 bulbs

I have not found any of those bulbs around Scaramento. I am now looking into white LEDs from Radio Shack. I am looking into doing a test with one tomarrow. I will advise. The GM & Chevrolet dealers around here are a bunch of bird brains. I am also going to check with a local electronic store, I have been told they have a large selection minature bulbs..will advise also.
