| 1994 GMC Sierra...get that out of the way..lol My dash lights work fine. However, I am wanting to know if there are supposed to be lights in the heat/air conditioning control panel? I am used to driving a vehicle with no dash lights and since the air/heat controls are to the right of the instrument panel are there supposed to be lights there or was this a flub? ![]()

| I guess it happened when the previous owner put a new stereo receiver in. There is a cubby hole now where the factory stereo was so they probably unhooked something or no telling what they did or why they did it.

| i believe that model year aftermarket stereo installation package came with a plastic cubby that slides into the hole that the factory stereo pulled out of. the new head unit installs where the factory EQ was put in at. that is, if im correct about the year. |

| you are correct brad....however upon further inspection of that part of the dash there are no see through plates, switches or anything..it is all pretty solid and the only thing that lights up is the hot/cold gauge for heat. hubby has a 94 silverado that i went and inspected and his is the same way...he does have the original stereo and equalizer in his but his dashlights operate the same it is a tray that slid in where the factory stereo went..however i call them a cubby hole..not much good for anything except to cover up the hole in the dash as far as i am concerned...anything you put in it slides out..lol

| OK looked at the book again, wiring diagram shows the 2 bulbs, however the r&r shows the controls as a component piece, but does not say if it's serviceable. soo guess it's back to the board again for ![]()
