| Is it a side to side wobble or just a vibration? |

| It might be a U-Joint, but I would lean more towards tires out of balance. Have the tires and suspension been checked out recently? |

| well my boss's dump truck has the same problem and he checked out the tires and suspension and hubs and bearings and nothing looked back then i layed under it while he turned the wheel while it was in park but running and i noticed that the frame rail was moving side to side with the steering... not saying thats your problem but i would do the same thing and see what is moving that shouldn't also put it up on a lift and try to move the tires with your hands if there is play in the tire something steering or suspension is bad. you can usually see. i dont think it would be a u joint because if you in 2wd that front driveshaft shoulnt turn.

| I'm dealing with the same thing im thinking since my truck is 15 years young and I have never replaced my front brake rotors or turned them that I would buy new ones. Well my son was going to give me money so I said so that I can get it im going to have him buy them along with the front calipers BUT he just told me today dad I have to pay off some of my account to charge them and some girl owes me $200.00 dollars so I can't right now WELL that means it's not going to happen I can bet my life on it. Hey sorry for hi-******* the thread but im up-set guys you know what im talking about here or the problem with him. OK so when I went over to my buddies house for X-Mas I jack up the truck side per side and moved the tire around checking to see if it was my bearings were loose but it all checked out I even had my buddies son look under the truck while I moved the tire around but I don't think he looked to good. Good luck! GMC PS-Keep us posted and so will I. |
