Thats a little more like it.... As far as you factory spec short block, there are other considerations. Head gasket thickness, piston diameter, valve reliefs, and cam profiles can have an affect on compression. There is a difference between static compression and dynamic compression. Thats pretty advanced stuff at this point. In the beginning, I was under the impression that you were gonna run the TBI, and since you have this package and intake, I can assume that you are now running a carb. That makes the most sense. The box probably did not lie, it did not actually make any claims. See the box only stated that HP in this range was obtained at some time or another. Gurantee that this is on a dyno with some major tuning, and some huge adjustments so that they can advertise some crazy HP numbers and sell more parts. There are calculations that will tell you what kind of compression that you are running, and these calculators are probably gonna get you a closer idea to what kind of power you are making. Taking the numbers off of an advertised box, or a manufacturers claim will leave you disappointed every time. Regardless, congrats on your build, enjoy the newly found horsepower. | |

| don't you have a dyno shop there and have it ran so you will know how much hp and tor you really have?
